Welcome to the Dollar Shave Club

I have been a member of the Dollar Shave Club for about a year now.  I will quickly admit that I was a member before it was cool.  Now there are commercials all over television and they are becoming more popular.  So I wanted to do an honest review of the club.

At a glance, this is a boys club.  And really, it is.  The DSC is aimed at men, but hello, a razor is a razor.  And how many times do you sneak your boyfriend's razor?  Or worse yet, how much money do you spend on those stupid Venus razors that work like shit and give you razor burn.  STOP!  I hate buying them and I hate how they burn me.  So I was suspicious when I purchased my first DSC order.

You can choose from 2 blades, 4 blades, or 6 blades.  Each is a bit more expensive, but honestly, you generally pay more than their most expensive razor each month anyway.

I purchased the 4 blade razors to see if I liked them and OH MY GOSH!  They're awesome.  No razor burn, you can use them more than once, close clean shave.  And only 6$.  I have to pay more than that for a singular 4 blade razor at the drug store!

My first box came once upon a time ago and they sent me a handle (don't throw it away because they only send one every six months or so) and 4 cartridges.  Each month comes with a funny pamphlet of "Bathroom Minutes" which are clearly made to pull a laugh from the male audience, sometimes they send samples of shave butter or "one wipe charlies," among other things.  It's also very easy to add items onto your monthly order if you want to.

This club is perfect for the busy female, just as it is for the average guy.  Personally, I used to work 13 hour days, I go to school full time, I have a million and ten things to do!  This is one less thing on the grocery list that costs less than Netflix.

The only problem will be keeping your hubby from stealing them!  I leave my second handle at his house and usually an extra blade or two for him, since I don't honestly shave as often as I should and hence can stretch an order for a tad longer.  BY THE WAY, you can also choose to only be sent razors every other month.

The website is very simple and user friendly--- man friendly even (wink wink)!--- and it's easy to make purchases, add items onto your monthly box, change orders, cancel, send gifts, etc.  It's very simple and certainly worth a shot.  You will NOT be disappointed by these guys!
