Okay, so there has been a few new sub boxes circulating called "Lip Monthly" and "Luna For You" at only 10$ per box, it is pretty palatable for us divas on a budget. However, there is really no way to figure out what you're signing up for.
First, let's talk about Lip Monthly. It's great for those of us with lippie fetishes because (gasp) because it's all lip products. However, it is a relatively new box and started taking orders.... months before they even released the first box. Therein lies the suspicious thing... Because the boxes hadn't been released, but they allegedly had very high end reviews from reputable sources. How? And then when you tried to search those reviews, they don't seem to exist. There then came many instances (that I witnessed personally) when cards were charged multiple times, cancellations were ignored, etc.
Luna for You is a bit worse for the same price. Some of the included items were 99cent eyeshadow applicators from Wet 'n' Wild or expired products. The same problem arose with the double charges and the overall products were just really cheap, although it WAS all makeup... kind of shitty makeup. Drug store kind of makeup that you've probably already tried and don't really want.
So these two boxes are pretty inexpensive, but you don't get really any bang for you buck with the average worth ranging between about 15-20$ at best. I would say 2/10-- would not bang. Go back to Ipsy and BirchBox.
